Hosted at the beautiful north light studio of Leo Mancini-Hresko, a fellow alumnus of the Florence Academy of Art, this workshop intensive will condense Gottlieb’s classic 10 week painting course into 5 action packed days.
Description:
This workshop is a rare opportunity for anyone who doesn’t have the time for a full 10 week course but wants to learn the essentials of Adrian’s painting process from beginning to end. Students will receive full instruction on the tools and materials that Adrian uses, watch and listen as Adrian explains how he poses and lights the model for a portrait, receive hands on instruction with Gottlieb’s traditional drawing techniques, Gottlieb’s palette mixing (emphasis on skin tones) and painting the portrait, along with regular feedback about their work and much more. There will be 2 full days of drawing and 3 full days of painting in which the students will paint alongside Gottlieb. The class will be held in Leo Mancini-Hresko’s beautiful north light studio. The studio is located in Waltham MA, just 20 minutes west of Boston’s North Station. Join them this summer for a glorious week of painting in the classic tradition!
