Adrian Gottlieb would like to thank Anu Valimaki for forwarding him the pictures provided by Julia Koivulanaho from the Finnish Chamber of Commerce that were taken from the opening of “100 Years of Future” exhibition that recently opened at the Amos Anderson Museum in Helskinki in January.
“100 Years of Future presents portraits of Finnish business leaders and prominent figures in trade and industry during the period of Finnish Independence. The exhibition is a collaboration between the Finland Chamber of Commerce and Amos Anderson Art Museum in celebration of the centenary of Finnish Independence.”
Valimaki’s comment about the portrait, ” I personally can’t understand how you can catch someone’s spirit like that and paint it. It’s almost like he’s standing there live. Amazing!” was very much appreciated by the artist.
In coordination with the opening of the exhibition, Finnish business newspaper, Kauppalehti writes about Jorma Ollila’s portrait.
The story is available to read here at http://www.kauppalehti.fi/uutiset/jorma-ollila-ei-aluksi-halunnut-muotokuvaa/ch3ZdPPV and the artist would like to personally thank Heikki Haapavaara for providing him with an excellent translation of the article into English.
